Ability Skill Level[]
This ability is considered a Level 0 or Beginner Level ability.
This ability does not require extensive visualization, feeling energy, astral projection, entering a trance state, or any previous experience with psychic or magick abilities in order to be practiced.
Ability Description[]
The ability to help others from a distance, using one's benevolent intention alone.
Techniques[]
Technique #1[]
- Focus on a target person
- Target person does not have to be someone you know personally.
- Target person does not have to be visible.
- Target person does not have to be physically nearby (You can be more than 100 feet away).
- Target person does not have to be aware that you are directing benevolent intentions toward them.
- While focusing on said target person, hold a benevolent intention in your mind for said person.
- There is an emphasis on the intention being benevolent: Your intention must be to help the target person in some way.
Applications of This Ability[]
This ability can be used to help a person from a distance.
Example #1[]
You see a person trying to achieve a specific goal and wish to help said person.
You direct a benevolent toward said person, which then in turn has a positive effect on said person and helps them to achieve their goal.
Supporting Evidence For This Ability's Existence[]
In 2012, a meta-analysis of 11 eligible studies provided evidence supporting the hypothesis that by directing benevolent intentions toward a target person, one can cause a positive effect on said person.[1]
This means that from a distance, you can direct good intentions toward a person in order to help said person.
This can be used in a variety of ways in order to help others from a distance.
Possible Limitations of This Ability[]
In a 2016 study involving directing distant intentions toward a target, distant intentions were shown to be able to be directed up to 1,000 miles away physically, as well as a month in the future temporally.[2]
Without any additional information to go off of, it is hard to determine whether or not intentions can be directed farther than a 1,000 miles away physically or a month in the future temporally.
