Definitions[]

  • Trance: A half conscious mental state between being asleep and being awaked in which one is deeply relaxed.
  • Out of Body Experience: The sensation of being outside one's body and able to observe oneself from a distance.
  • Self-Hypnosis: Hypnosis induced by yourself.
  • Hypnosis: Induced state of consciousness in which one is more open to suggestion and behavior modification.
  • Induction: The process of brining about.

Applications[]

    • Self Hypnosis
    • To alter behaviors and habits
    • Triggering Out of Body Experiences
    • To become disassociated from physical sensation
    • Entering a Norse Berserker state in which while in your trance you feel no pain and enter a blind fury.

Methods[]

  • Eye Fixation: Fixate your eyes on a single point. You should breathe deeply, calmly, and slowly. Mentally affirm to yourself that you are becoming more relaxed. Once you feel completely relaxed close your eyes.
  • Memory: Remember a time when you felt calm and relaxed. As you examine this memory allow yourself to enter that same relaxed state again as you focus deeply on your memory. Once you feel deeply relaxed you may close your eyes and take deep, calm, slow breaths.
  • Stairway: Close your eyes and imagine a stairway with ten steps in front of you leading down into another plane of existence. With each step down take a deep, calm, slow breath and exhale as you count each step. As you continue down the stairwell mentally affirm that you are becoming more relaxed. When you have finally reached the other plane of existence you should now have entered trance state. 
  • Movie: Visualize a character in your exact situation with your same emotions and feelings. Watch this character as it continues throughout the scene you have visualized of your current situation. Become captivated as you watch this character move and interact with the scene. Once you are deeply focused on the scene you will enter trance state. Now that you are in trance state you can edit the scene to fufill your needs and follow the character through the changing scene.
  • Repetitive Dance used to give a sense of euphoria and intense focus induced trance.
  • Trance Music when focused on can allow for one to relax and enter trance.
